Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season gave bettors and fans alike a lot to think about.
For starters, bettors found value on Unders, which went 12-4 in Week 1. We also saw a few underdogs spoil moneyline parlays, as the Buccaneers, Rams, Lions, Browns, Jets, Raiders, Dolphins, and Packers all won outright.
Our Week 1 parlay column didn’t net us the results we wanted (0-3), but I’ll look to bounce back this weekend as we have a lot of great games on deck.
Let’s dig into my best Week 2 NFL parlay picks.

NFL Week 2 Best Parlay Bet
Week 2 Best Parlay (+174)
- Buccaneers ML (-142) vs Bears
- Saints ML (-155) @ Panthers
Tampa Bay is coming off an impressive road win against the Vikings, forcing three turnovers and holding Minnesota to 17 points. Now, the Bucs get to face a Bears squad that had two turnovers and allowed Green Bay to go 10-of-18 on third and fourth down.
I don’t envision Chicago’s defense playing better against a Tampa Bay offense that features Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Rachaad White at the skill positions. Additionally, I like Tampa’s defense to wreak havoc against a Chicago offense that allowed four sacks and six QB hits in Week 1.

For my second play, I like the Saints to go on the road and defeat Bryce Young and the Panthers on Monday Night Football. New Orleans’ defense looked excellent in Week 1, forcing three turnovers and holding the Titans to three field goals in their three red-zone visits.
This isn’t a good matchup for Young, who has a ton of promise but showed growing pains in Week 1. The Saints’ offense struggled to score last week (16 points) but should have better success against a Panthers’ secondary without top corner Jaycee Horn (hamstring).
NFL Week 2 Longshot Parlay Bet
Week 2 Longshot Parlay (+1101)
- Giants vs Cardinals Under 40 (-110)
- Browns ML (-125) vs Steelers
- Patriots +3 (-110) vs Dolphins
- Colts ML (-115) vs Texans
Leading off the longshot parlay will be the Under in the Giants-Cardinals game, which looks promising after what we saw last week.
Arizona surprisingly held its own against the Commanders, surrendering just 20 points on the road in a narrow defeat. Meanwhile, the Giants were shut out 40-0 at home by the Cowboys.
New York is dealing with a couple notable injuries on offense (TE Darren Waller and LT Andrew Thomas), and it struggled to protect Daniel Jones. Last season, the Under hit in six of the Giants’ nine road games.

Additionally, I like the Patriots to cover the spread against the Dolphins. Miami had a great showing in Week 1, but the Chargers were able to run the ball successfully (234 yards) on the Dolphins’ defense.
New England should be able to do the same with running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Rhamondre Stevenson, who can slow down the Dolphins’ pass rush. Since 2021, the Patriots are 8-6-1 against the spread after a loss.
The last two legs of this week’s longshot parlay have the Browns and Colts winning their respective games outright. Cleveland punched the Bengals in the mouth last week and now faces a Steelers squad that couldn’t run the ball (41 yards) and averaged 3.9 yards per play in a Week 1 loss to San Francisco.
It’s surprising to see the Browns only as -125 favorites on the moneyline, as the Steelers will be without key starters Cameron Heyward (groin) and Diontae Johnson (hamstring). You could also argue that the Colts should be favored in Houston, especially since Anthony Richardson outperformed C.J. Stroud in their NFL debuts.
NFL Week 2 Same Game Parlay Bet
49ers vs Rams Same Game Parlay (+160)
- Rams +7.5 (-105)
- Rams TT Over 17.5 Pts (-105)
Rams head coach Sean McVay hasn’t had much success against 49ers, going 3-10 ATS against his opposite number Kyle Shanahan. However, the Rams should be able to cover the larger spread and at least score 18 points.
Since 2021, Los Angeles is 4-1 ATS as a home underdog and 3-2 straight up on the moneyline. The Rams proved last week that they can compete at a high level with young players at key positions, especially in the absence of Cooper Kupp.
- Stay up to date on the latest line moves with our NFL Week 2 odds.
For Los Angeles to cover this large spread, the defense must get pressure on Brock Purdy, who completed 19-of-29 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1, and slow star running back Christian McCaffrey.
If the Rams can do that, and the offensive line gives Matthew Stafford time to find his receivers, this SGP will have a good chance to hit.
