The New York Giants picked themselves off the mat in Week 7, scoring their first offensive touchdown since Week 3 in their victory over the Washington Commanders.

Can they build off that as they head into a Week 8 showdown with the rival New York Jets?

Let’s dive into that matchup and more while locking in our best bets for NFL Week 8.

NFL Week 8 Predictions

All NFL betting odds used for these Week 8 predictions are current as of Tuesday, Oct. 24, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Jets vs Giants Prediction

Best Bet: NYJ -2.5 (-115)

The Giants looked a tad better against the Commanders, picking up their first win in over a month thanks to a season-high six sacks. However, their offense remains woefully inefficient and unable to string together consistent drives.

The Jets have had an extra week to prepare following the bye, and there’s little doubt their defense will be ready.

Under 36.5 points is also a strong play, but I’m going to stick with the spread so long as it stays within a field goal.

Commanders vs Eagles Prediction

Best Bet: PHI -6.5 (-112)

The Eagles may have cemented themselves again as the NFC’s team to beat, which shouldn’t come as a surprise if you’ve been paying attention. They were dominant on both sides of the ball against Miami, holding the Dolphins to a season-low 17 points.

This is a complicated spot for Philadelphia, laying 6.5 points on the road against a team it struggled to beat earlier this month. Then again, it’s hard to have much trust in Washington.

Sam Howell has been treated like a piñata, taking an NFL-high 40 sacks through seven games. Although he’s managed to overcome the Commanders’ porous blocking at times, that beating’s bound to catch up with him.

Vikings vs Packers Prediction

Best Bet: MIN +1 (-115)

Are the Vikings back? After a forgettable 0-3 start, Minnesota has rebounded with victories over Carolina, Chicago, and, most notably, San Francisco, to find its way back into the hunt.

While this is a potential let-down spot coming off a big win on Monday Night Football, are the Packers the team to stop them? Jordan Love struggled against the Broncos’ league-worst defense, throwing for only 180 yards (5.8 yards/attempt) in a 19-17 loss.

Stick with the hot hand in Minnesota.

Falcons vs Titans Prediction

Best Bet: Under 36.5 (-108)

This is tied for the lowest total of Week 8, and with good reason.

Although the Falcons are 4-3, their offense remains mediocre at best. They’ve been held under 20 points in four of the last five weeks and are 29th overall in scoring (16.4 per game). On top of that, the Under has hit in Atlanta’s last five games.

The Titans aren’t much better. Complicating matters, Ryan Tannehill (high ankle sprain) is hurt, meaning Malik Willis or rookie Will Levis could start at quarterback. Neither option is encouraging.

Browns vs Seahawks Prediction

Best Bet: SEA -3 (-110)

Cleveland is coming off a dramatic, last-second win over Indianapolis on the road to improve to 4-2, but Deshaun Watson may have reinjured his shoulder. His status for Sunday is currently in flux as he undergoes additional testing.

The Browns have done well to overcome Watson’s absence, but this is a tough spot on the road against a defense that specializes in getting after the quarterback.

Look for this line to jump if Watson is ruled out.
