NFL teams truly show how good they are in Week 3.
Teams that start 3-0 are a virtual shoo-in to make the playoffs. Historically, they have a 51% chance of winning their division and a 20% chance of earning their conference’s top seed. On the other hand, teams that start 0-3 have just a 3% chance of reaching the postseason.
Here are the current Week 3 betting odds and lines for the 2023 NFL season.

NFL Week 3 Betting Trends
Betting NFL Week 3 can be a difficult task since we still don’t have much of a sample size on teams. It can be tough to tell if a team’s first two games are a true indication of who they are or a product of various circumstances.
Here are some general Week 3 betting trends from the 2022 season:
- Favorites finished the week 7-9 straight up.
- Home teams were only 8-8 straight up but 6-9-1 against the spread.
- Home favorites were 1-5-1 ATS, while home underdogs went 5-4.
- Unders won for the third straight week, going 8-6-2.
