The top spot in the NFC and the NFC East will be on the line in a game that truly will make us “Wait All Day For Sunday Night.”
The explosive Dallas Cowboys, winners of four straight, will host the Philadelphia Eagles, who beat them in Week 9 by three points. Dallas has won 14 consecutive home games, the longest active streak in the NFL and second-longest in franchise history, and is coming off a wild 41-35 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Philadelphia absorbed its second loss of the season in disturbing fashion in Week 13, 42-19 to the 49ers, and must bounce back quickly in another major matchup.
Let’s dig into the odds for this Week 14 Sunday Night Football matchup.

Sunday Night Football Prediction
Cowboys 34, Eagles 30
Dallas earned its first win of the season against a team with a winning record last week but needs this victory for various reasons. Most importantly is moving into a better position to win the NFC East and for conference seeding overall.
The Cowboys are on a mission that started last week and they hope will include a long-awaited return to the NFC Championship Game. After outpointing the Seahawks in the best game Seattle has played on offense this season, now they must show that beating bigger contenders is possible, and it begins with beating their biggest rival.
The map to a deep playoff run for Dak Prescott and Mike McCarthy to vanquish the naysayers is clearly set. After the Eagles, Dallas continues through a decisive pre-playoff gauntlet that includes the Bills, Dolphins, and Lions before embarking on their quest to ultimately play for the right to appear in Super Bowl 58.
This could be a career-altering stretch for the Dallas head coach and QB, who can also greatly improve his MVP odds in the Cowboys’ biggest game of the year. The Eagles will come back looking to regain respect after the San Francisco embarrassment, but Dallas is better on defense and should ultimately make the key stop or stops to prevail.
Sunday Night Football Best Bet
Over 51.5 (-110)
In Dallas’ last four games, it has played Over this total three times. Philadelphia has played to Over 51 points in four of its past five.
The Cowboys have a better defense than the Eagles, who are clearly not the same as last year on that side of the ball due to personnel losses and injuries. But Dallas allowed Seattle to ring up 35 points and allowed 28 to Philadelphia in the first meeting of the season, so it is not a shutdown unit.
Dallas leads the NFL in scoring at 31.3 points per game. Philadelphia’s pass defense ranked second in the NFL last season and has dropped to 23rd in 2023.
Sunday Night Football Parlay
Best SNF Parlay (+246)
- Cowboys -3 (-118)
- Over 51.5 (-110)
In the first matchup of the season, Dallas had a potential game-winning drive extinguished by the Philadelphia defense. I believe Prescott delivers in the clutch this time, and the defense also holds firm at a critical point.
The 49ers fully exposed the backend of the Eagles’ defense in Week 13, and Prescott will take advantage of what Philadelphia just cannot fix adequately when it lacks the personnel to make any adjustments work adequately.
But the Eagles also will be dissecting the film of how the Seahawks found holes in the Cowboys’ pass defense and will stick close with a more dynamic and versatile QB.
