The Seattle Seahawks were one of the NFL’s surprise teams in 2022, finishing with a 9-8 record and earning a wild-card spot despite entering the preseason with an uncertain quarterback situation.

Geno Smith answered the call at QB, setting new career-highs with 4,282 passing yards and 30 touchdown tosses en route to earning Comeback Player of the Year honors.

While Seattle’s 2022 campaign was one of promise, Pete Carroll’s squad still has work to do. The Seahawks were swept away in the postseason by the 49ers, who exposed the team’s shortcomings on defense.

Now that GM John Schneider has addressed some of those concerns, let’s look at the latest Seahawks betting odds for the 2023 season.

Seahawks Futures Betting Odds

Note: These NFL betting odds are current as of Thursday, June 29, and provided by DraftKings Sportsbook.

  • Win Super Bowl: +3000
  • Win NFC Championship: +1100
  • Win NFC West: +195
  • Make Playoffs: Yes (-120) / No (+100)
  • Regular-Season Win Total: Over 8.5 (-165) / Under 8.5 (+140)

Seahawks Super Bowl 58 Odds

Seahawks: Win Super Bowl (+3000)

The Seahawks sit in the middle tier of the preseason Super Bowl 58 odds, which seems fair for a team that overachieved last season and was one-and-done in the playoffs.

Still, there is a lot to like about what Seattle achieved this offseason.

After allowing the third-most rushing yards in the NFL last season (150.2 per game), the Seahawks beefed up their defensive front by adding Dre’Mont Jones and Jarran Reed while also bringing back inside linebacker Bobby Wagner to pair with Jordyn Brooks.

Adding some talent to slow down opposing rushing attacks should help Seattle’s secondary, which has become a strong point thanks to some diligent drafting over the past two seasons.

Still, this unit has much to prove before the Seahawks can be considered Super Bowl contenders.

Seahawks NFC Championship Odds

Seahawks: Win NFC Championship (+1100)

The Seahawks have significantly more favorable odds in this market, which tells you everything you need to know about the conference’s depth.

Seattle has the fifth-best odds to win the NFC next season, joining teams like Detroit (+1000) and New Orleans (+1300) as unproven commodities with upside beyond the big three.

I expect the NFC to run through Philadelphia, San Francisco, or Dallas, but I don’t hate looking at the Seahawks as a dark-horse candidate at this price.

Seahawks NFC West Winner Odds

Seahawks: Win NFC West (+195)

This prop feels like the most intriguing preseason futures bet to place on Seattle.

The Seahawks are second-favorites to the 49ers (-160) in the NFC West odds, but the division is essentially a two-horse race.

Los Angeles and Arizona have significant problems to overcome, so if San Francisco slips, Seattle will be best positioned to benefit.

However, there are still some concerns. The Niners swept all three head-to-head meetings between the two teams last year, and it’s no guarantee that Smith will continue to play at this elite level.

A trio of wide receivers like DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba should help the latter.

And while San Francisco is a deserving favorite, this prop offers some value.

Seahawks Make Playoffs Odds

Seahawks: Make Playoffs (-120)

The Seahawks are essentially a coin-flip to make the playoffs next season, but I’m pretty bullish on their chances.

After their first-round playoff exit, Schneider and Carroll openly discussed the talent discrepancy between Seattle and San Francisco and worked this offseason to close the gap.

While it may not be enough for the Hawks to overcome the Niners in the division race, there’s too much talent on this team for it to flop.

Seahawks Regular-Season Win Total Odds

Seahawks: Over 8.5 Wins (-165)

The Seahawks’ 2023 win total is set at 8.5 games, which feels like a low bar to clear for a team that won nine games last year and seemingly improved this offseason.

That explains this heavily juiced Over that probably isn’t worth playing at this price.

Seattle’s schedule features games against the AFC North and NFC East, two divisions with plenty of depth from top to bottom.

However, the Seahawks are currently favored in nine of 17 games at DraftKings Sportsbook, so they should be able to hit this Over.
