The NFC East is perennially one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL, but last season took it to a new level.

All four teams finished with a .500 record or better, three teams qualified for the postseason and advanced to the divisional round, and two won at least 12 regular-season games. However, the Philadelphia Eagles were the cream of the crop, finishing 14-3 and cruising through the NFC playoffs before suffering a 38-35 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58.

Will the division be that competitive again? And can Philadelphia become the first NFC East team to successfully defend its division crown since it won a fourth straight title in 2004?

Here are the latest NFC East winner odds.

NFC East Winner Betting Odds 2023-24

NFL betting odds used for these best bets are from Friday, May 19, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

  • Philadelphia Eagles (-120)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+190)
  • New York Giants (+800)
  • Washington Commanders (+1100)

The odds indicate a tight race for the division title between the Eagles and Cowboys, with the Giants and Commanders positioned as potential dark horses.

The Eagles (-120) are the current favorites, followed closely by the Cowboys (+190). But, then, there is a significant gap to the Giants (+800) and Commanders (+1100), which feels strange after all four teams showed promise last season.

NFC East Winner Best Bet

Philadelphia Eagles (-120)

After an impressive run to the Super Bowl last season, the Eagles lost both of their coordinators but were able to maintain a robust roster during the offseason.

The team’s strength undeniably lies in its balanced attack, led by star quarterback Jalen Hurts. Hurts, who finished second in MVP voting in 2022 and recently signed a five-year extension with Philly, will be looking to build upon his success.

He will again be supported by a talented receiving corps, headlined by A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, one of the most explosive wideout duos in the NFL.

The Eagles will also return significant pieces to one of the league’s most dominant defenses, namely the lockdown corner duo of James Bradberry and Darius Slay and veteran defensive tackle Fletcher Cox.

While some departures could create a chemistry issue early on, the Eagles are poised to be a formidable force in the NFC East for years to come.

NFC Divisional Futures Odds & Picks

NFC East Winner Sleeper Pick

Dallas Cowboys (+190)

Despite being underdogs compared to the Eagles, the Cowboys are an enticing bet at +190.

Their offense is undoubtedly among the league’s elite, featuring the terrific trio of Dak Prescott, Tony Pollard, and CeeDee Lamb. Prescott, returning from a turnover-prone 2022 campaign, is expected to clean things up under new OC Brian Schottenheimer and should benefit from the addition of another reliable target in Brandin Cooks.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Cowboys made some notable moves in the offseason to bolster their unit. The trade for veteran cornerback Stephon Gilmore from the Indianapolis Colts is a potential game-changer, and the draft picks of Mazi Smith and DeMarvion Overshown should help Dallas suppress the strong rushing attacks in the division.

If the Cowboys can remain healthy, something that has eluded them in previous seasons, they have a genuine chance to usurp the Eagles and claim the NFC East title.
