The Arizona Cardinals head into the 2023 NFL season with significant challenges.

Last year, star quarterback Kyler Murray suffered a devastating ACL tear in Week 14, significantly impacting the team’s performance. As a result, the Cardinals lost their last seven games and finished with a 4-13 record, leading to the firing of head coach Kliff Kingsbury and an organizational reset.

Star defensive end J.J. Watt retired after the season, and the team decided to cut unhappy wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who was suspended for the first six games of the 2022 campaign.

Arizona added some talent through the 2023 NFL Draft, including offensive tackle Paris Johnson from Ohio State, and brought in outside linebacker Kyzir White from the Philadelphia Eagles during free agency.

However, new GM Monti Ossenfort and first-time head coach Jonathan Gannon still have a lot of work to do.

Let’s look at the Arizona Cardinals betting odds for the 2023 NFL season.

Cardinals Futures Betting Odds

Note: These NFL betting odds are current as of Tuesday, May 30, and provided by DraftKings Sportsbook.

  • Win Super Bowl: +20000
  • Win NFC Championship: +10000
  • Win NFC West: +2500
  • Make Playoffs: Yes (+1100) / No (-2000)
  • Regular-Season Win Total: Over 4.5 (-120) / Under 4.5 (+100)

Cardinals Super Bowl 58 Odds

Cardinals: Win Super Bowl (+20000)

The Cardinals are the longest of longshots to win the Super Bowl, with 200-1 odds.

This reflects the team’s significant issues, including the loss of key players and the uncertainty around Murray’s return from injury.

The Cardinals’ prospects for the Super Bowl seem bleak, and they will have to overcome significant obstacles to contend for the title.

Cardinals NFC Championship Odds

Cardinals: Win NFC Championship (+10000)

Similarly, the Cardinals’ NFC Championship odds are also long at +10000.

The NFC is a competitive conference, and the Cardinals will face stiff competition.

The team’s performance last season and the significant roster changes contribute to the skepticism about their chances of winning the NFC Championship.

Cardinals NFC West Winner Odds

Cardinals: Win NFC West (+2500)

The Cardinals’ odds to win the NFC West are set at +2500.

The NFC West is one of the toughest divisions in the NFL, with strong teams like the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and Los Angeles Rams.

Given the Cardinals’ current state, winning the division for the first time since 2015 is a tall order.

Cardinals Make Playoffs Odds

Cardinals: Miss Playoffs (-2000)

The odds for the Cardinals to make the playoffs are +1100 for ‘Yes’ and -2000 for ‘No.’

These odds reflect the tough road ahead for the Cardinals.

Arizona has reached the postseason just once in the last seven years, and with Murray unlikely to be ready for Week 1, they’ll likely have to turn to veteran Colt McCoy.

Given the lack of weapons he’ll have to work with after Hopkins’ departure, I don’t like the Cardinals’ chances of making the playoffs.

Cardinals Regular-Season Win Total Odds

Cardinals: Under 4.5 Wins (+100)

The Cardinals’ win total for this season is set at 4.5 games, with the odds slightly favoring the Over (-120) compared to the Under (+100).

Regardless, these odds confirm that the expectations for Arizona this season are extremely low.

Still, it seems likely that the Cardinals will struggle to reach this win total.

As the frontrunners for the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, betting Under 4.5 wins at even money seems like a good bet.
