Week 5 was another fantastic slate of college football, featuring more games between ranked teams.

Notable outcomes included Oregon State taking down Utah at home, Texas cruising to a lopsided win over Kansas, Notre Dame edging out Duke on the road, and Ole Miss defeating LSU in a shootout.

After going 2-1 on our best bets last week, here are a few of our favorite college football bets for Week 6 of the 2023 season.

Colorado vs Arizona State Prediction: Colorado -4.5 (-110)

After a hot start to the season, it’s been a rough couple of weeks for Colorado, logging losses to ranked teams in Oregon and USC in back-to-back weeks. The positive news for the Buffaloes is that they’ll get to take on a 1-4 Arizona State program in Week 6.

Colorado went down 34-14 at halftime to USC in Week 5 before Shedeur Sanders caught fire in the second half. He completed 30 of his 45 attempts for 371 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception in the game.

While Arizona State has limited opposing teams to 212.6 passing yards per game, they have also lost four straight games since beating Southern Utah in Week 1.

Just to add to that, Arizona State is also only 1-3 ATS at home this season. Colorado faced much stiffer competition in recent weeks, and we can comfortably bet on the Buffaloes to get back on track on Saturday versus Arizona State.

UConn vs Rice Prediction: Rice -9.5 (-110)

A winless UConn squad will square off against Rice, which has won three of its last four games following a season-opening loss to Texas.

Even though UConn is allowing only 229.2 passing yards per game, Rice is registering 307 passing yards per game (13th most in the nation) with JT Daniels under center.

On the offensive side of the ball, Rice is outscoring UConn 33 to 17 in points per game. When it comes to scoring defense, UConn is surrendering 31.6 points per game.

The Huskies don’t have the offense to keep up with the Owls. Plus, Rice is a perfect 3-0 ATS at home this season compared to UConn being 2-3 ATS.

LSU vs Missouri Prediction: Missouri +6.5 (-110)

LSU now has two losses on the season following a 55-49 defeat to Ole Miss in Week 5, essentially ending its hopes of making the College Football Playoff. It will now travel to take on an undefeated Missouri team on Saturday.

Missouri has covered the spread in three straight games, and two of those came at home. Meanwhile, LSU is 1-2 ATS on the road, and its defense is giving up 31 points per game.

LSU’s woes on defense will be an issue against Brady Cook, who has helped Missouri’s offense average 304.4 passing yards per game. This game should be closer to a pick ‘em, so getting Missouri at +6.5 seems like an easy wager to make.
