We’ve reached the conference championship portion of the college football schedule.

Last week was a forgettable one for me in the betting department as I went 0-3, so I’m looking to get back on track.

With a handful of anticipated matchups on deck, here are our Week 14 college football best bets.

2023 Big Ten Championship Game Pick

Michigan vs Iowa Best Bet: Under 35.5 (-110)

Are we sure Iowa is going to score in this game?

The Hawkeyes averaged only 18 points per game (tied for the ninth-fewest in the nation) ahead of their Big Ten title showdown against the Wolverines. Michigan and Iowa both boast formidable defenses in this matchup, with both teams giving up fewer than 13 points per game.

Even with J.J. McCarthy at the quarterback position, the Wolverines would prefer to lean on Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards on the ground. Michigan is 14th in time of possession, and it will want to let its rushing attack and defense dictate the outcome of the game.

Given Iowa’s inability to put points on the scoreboard, the Hawkeyes have hit the Under in seven consecutive games.

2023 SEC Championship Game Pick

Georgia vs Alabama Best Bet: Alabama +6 (-110)

A win in the SEC Championship is the only chance Alabama has at clinching a spot in the College Football Playoff.

The early-season loss to Texas looms large for the Crimson Tide, but Nick Saban has his team playing much better since that disappointing defeat. Quarterback Jalen Milroe has looked more and more comfortable orchestrating Alabama’s offense, and Georgia’s defense has surrendered 20-plus points in six of its last nine games.

While Carson Beck and Georgia’s offense have found its rhythm, it played Georgia Tech much closer than expected in Week 13.

If the Crimson Tide were to pull off the upset, it would make things incredibly interesting for the selection committee. I’m not saying Alabama will secure the win outright, but we’ll get an exciting, competitive contest between two powerhouse programs on Saturday.

2023 ACC Championship Game Pick

Louisville vs Florida State Best Bet: Florida State -2.5 (-115)

It is unfortunate that Jordan Travis suffered a season-ending injury for Florida State as the Seminoles are on track for an undefeated season and College Football Playoff berth with a win on Saturday.

With Travis sidelined, Florida State has rolled with quarterback Tate Rodemaker the last two weeks. Rodemaker hasn’t had to do much, as he’s completed 25-of-48 attempts for 351 yards and two touchdowns.

On the other side of the field in the ACC Championship, Louisville suffered a heartbreaking 38-31 loss to Kentucky in Week 13.

Even without its dynamic quarterback, Florida State will lean on its dominant defense that is limiting teams to only 16.75 points per game (11th-fewest in the nation). Besides having a talented defense, the Seminoles have also turned the ball over only five times this season, which leads all of college football.

While some people may be upset to see Florida State in the College Football Playoff, it will likely earn one of the top-four spots by covering the spread against Louisville on Saturday.
